Styrene (HIPS) High impact styrene and (GPS) General purpose styrene,

both these styrenes are extremely popular as styrene is a very versatile and mouldable plastic. Lending itself to thin walled and complex moulding. Popular moulded items include plant seed tray, office filling trays, drinks cups and vac forming. Another form of styrene is crystal styrene which is widely used in the use of disposable fast food packaging.

Most styrene is easily recyclable; however blown styrene which is commonly used as protective packaging is extremely difficult to recycle.
